AI visibility tools for small marketing teams (2026)

Prices for AI visibility tools for small teams: Otterly.AI, Ahrefs Brand Radar, Semrush, Scrunch AI, Profound and Peec AI, checked Oct 2, 2026, and how to pick.

The short answer

If you have a small team and a small budget, start with one free check to see where you stand, then pick a tool only if you need weekly tracking. Most small teams don't need an enterprise platform. They need to know which assistants skip them, who gets picked instead, and which pages to get onto.

This page lists what the main tools cost, who each one is built for, and how to choose if you have under $500 a month. We make one of the tools (Soarce), so read it with that in mind. Every price below comes from the tool's own pricing page.

How to pick on a budget under $500 a month

  1. Start with a free check. Before you pay for tracking, find out if you have a problem. Ask the questions your buyers ask, many times, across more than one assistant. One check tells you little, because the answers change from run to run. SparkToro found the odds of ChatGPT giving the same brand list twice are under 1 in 100 (2,961 prompts).
  2. Decide if you need tracking or fixing. Tracking tells you your share each week. Fixing means getting onto the pages the assistants read. Under $100 a month you mostly get tracking. Tools that also suggest fixes start at $250 to $399 a month (vendor pricing pages, Sep 2026).
  3. Count your prompts. A prompt is one question the tool asks for you. A small team can cover its main buying questions with 15 to 50. Otterly's Lite plan gives 15 for $29 a month.
  4. Check which assistants are included. Some tools charge extra for Gemini, Claude or Google AI Mode. Otterly lists Claude, AI Mode and Gemini as paid add-ons. Assistants don't agree with each other much: Kevin Indig found 91% of citations appear in only one AI engine (Growth Memo, H1 2026).
  5. Leave budget for the work. The tool shows the gap. Closing it takes outreach to the people who write the lists the assistants read.

Where Soarce fits

Soarce is a free scan plus done-for-you help. The scan asks ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Gemini and Perplexity your buyers' questions, each one many times, and reads about 250 answers. It shows how often you're recommended, who took your spot, and the pages the assistants cited when they picked someone else.

If you want me to do the outreach, the done-for-you pilot is free for the first 10 companies: I pitch 5 lists for you, then re-scan for a 30-day early read and a 60-day comparison. Agencies can get branded reports from $49 a month on the agency plans.

We hold ourselves to the same test. On Oct 2, 2026, we scanned soarce.app. Soarce was recommended in 0 of 224 answers. On questions about tools for small teams, it was 0 of 39. The tools that won those answers were Profound (109), Peec AI (75), Semrush (73) and Otterly.AI (70). If you want weekly tracking with a dashboard today, one of them is the better pick.
